Air Filter?

[65 Lotus]

Spent the day ISO the correct air filter for the Elan. Mine has the smaller
ring with a little less than 4.75" ID. What filter is used in this
installation? The filter housingis stamped AC A2047 I think (hard to tell).
I don't believe they make that filter now regardless. The PO had installed a
filter which was the correct OD and ID but wrong height.

The solution I found appears to be either the K&N E-2473 or E-3350. The
catalog shows identical dimensions for both of these and no explanation as
to the difference, so I ordered one of each for a looksee. Dimensions are
6.063" OD, 4.688 ID, 2.25" height.

What's everyone using out there? Anyone know the difference between the two
models above?

Scott - You're correct - the filter housing says AC2047. The filter that was
in mine was a K&N A061A6. It has wire mesh both on inside and outside of
paper element--following the contours of the corregated paper - rather than
just being a cylinder on the circumfrence. Not sure of differences betwen the
two you ordered.
