Trunnion lubrication - again

It has been interesting watching this discussion on the suitable lube for trunnions. I purchased my first of 3 Lotus in 1974 - +2 Elan followed by 18FJ and S1 Elan 26/3800. I have followed the manual and used 90EP oil, yes it does leak out if the welsh plug is loose and I have also used grease. It can also go hard and dry out - depending on the type and frequency of replenishment.
However by far the best solution has been a semifluid grease - similar to that specified for steering racks. The main benefit in steering racks is that it doesn't get pushed aside, harden and leave the surfaces prone to premature wear. The semifluid grease used can be proprietry or made up.
I have asked one of our Lotus Club members, Steve Lennox to put pen to paper to clarify the issue as he is emminantly qualified in the specialist lubrication manufacturing industry and also owns an immaculate original S2 Europa.
His article is attached.

Great information!
Is anyone aware of a commercially available grease in the U.S. market meeting the specifications? I'm not sure I want another container of special stuff lying around, and I have a nice little cartridge grease gun that keeps my hands cleaner while performing this operation.
Or, just call me lazy.
