Nylon generator mounts

PostPost by: vstibbard » Mon Nov 24, 2014 11:43 am

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of nylon generator mounts, they are used to isolate some of the vibrations in race engines
Alternatively can anyone recommend material to machine one locally?

HI Dave, thanks I'll check .

Yes I did, I've been monitoring EBAY and in discussions with trailer manufacturer, the numbers are not stacking up.

A friend has referred me to company that he regularly uses to ship cars and parts for a quote to box and ship the car in dedicated container, with view to getting it away pre Xmas as I understood you're back early December, is that still the case?

Wilcox Engineering do a metalastic bushed bracket and a nylon adjustment strap that I've used on BD's with success. I guess the Kent derivative blocks are very similar to our twin-cams. However, as with a TT nylon bracket a strap will be needed to earth the alternator to the block

Worth a call, maybe.
