Looks very clean...I do like the eary Plus 2 without the spotlights and the 'posh' interior. Is that the original 15 inch plastic rimmed Chapman wheel?

I'm restoring chassis 32 currently, and just trying to figure out where all the bits go in the engine bay...I bought the car completely apart. Figured most of it, but the fuse boxes and regulator box still have me a little confused. I may just trouble you for some detail under bonnet pics in a few weeks :D

re the 15" chapman whell....yes it is....
sort of.....
the plastic had started splitting in a couple of places so was in a quandry as to what to do.....
what I did in the end was cover it (hand stitched) with leather....
it took me ages and it does look the part now......the plastic stuff is still underneath 'protected' now....I didnt have the heart to pull it off as so many of them have gone that way.......
as for the under bonnet stuff.....mmm....
not sure most of mine is original.....
I have the remains of a bakerlite house type junction/fuse box....nothing plugged into it...but it is fixed to the body
:D cheers
g

Mark, here's a view of the fuse box and voltage regulator from my early 68 car.

That's great, Brian. I can now see the holes where my regulator should be.

As for the steering wheel, Elanman, covering it in leather is probably the best thing to do. My BDA engined Plus 2 is otherwise quite original, and still has the plastic covered Chapman wheel, but I have to find one for my chassis 32 restoration! I have a while to go yet though before it becomes a pressing need.

I have a 'painless solution' for keeping birds out of the rafters, etc., if anyone is interested!
