I've bought a Plus 2 :)

PostPost by: Steve S2 » Wed Aug 17, 2011 4:00 pm

Hi,

Thanks to those of you who've suffered and responded to my rather tedious newby questions over the past month or so. However, I've found and bought a 1972 Plus 2 S130 and it's an absolute beauty. I'll be collecting it on Friday and am getting rather excited :)

Hopefully, there's a photo attached to this post.

Thanks again

Steve

Super! and it's the right colour...and it's got a sunroof...and....it says on here of the +2 (somewhere) "An antelope in a field of buffalo" :)

Are you suggesting the Elite in the background is a buffalo?

No, not in the least!

I'm always drawn to the Elite in the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, who AFAIK do not have an Elan. A glaring omission IMO.

But it's not in a field! It's in a car park as far as I can tell! :)

"Sweet"! Looks very nice, Richard.

Looking forward to further details and pix once you've picked it up and driven it a bit.

Congrats,

Looks great Steve. Sunroof looks great! When you get a chance to post some pics could you take a few detail shots of the headliner around the sun roof? I had difficulty fitting mine, so any advice appreciated.

That looks a really nice car Steve. It's always better to ask the newbie questions before you buy rather than after you've unwittingly bought yourself a "project".

Just make sure you get out there driving it while we still have a bit of summer left !

A bit late, however, it's a nice car, Steve.
