does any one know what calipers are available as a DIRECT replacement for the fronts.im looking for some nice shinny 4 pots as a replacement and with pads.

I think the rears will be slightly harder to get because of the hand brake but any ideas on those too?

Paul

Check out Wilwood Alloy 4 pot Calipers. They should fit.
There's more information in the "for sale" where I did have some for sale but no longer.

What car is it?

The S1, S2-Sprint, and +2 front calipers are all different sizes.

I'm pretty sure there isn't any off-the-shelf replacement for the rears.

Paul, if its 4-pots you're after, there is one direct replacement fit. These are very heavy cast iron, not fancy alloy. They have the advantage of much bigger pad area but only a slight increase in piston area - this doesn't upset the front/rear balance adversely.

Check on this forum, you'll find the details. Clue is Toyota Hi-Lux 4WD. Long proven "upgrade" for Triumph applications that use the P16B calipers.

Regards

Gerry

Paul,

Came across this brake kit today from Canley Classics whilst wandering about the internet. Should be good quality being AP Racing brakes and although they show them fitted with bolt on hubs I guess the discs will fit to the knock on type. Hopefully they are red rather than pink though! Comes with alloy caliper mounts to suit the Vitesse/GT6 uprights a plus 2 has.

They wont fit with 13 inch Triumph wheels so may not with Lotus ones but if you want 4 pots I guess changing to alloys or 14 inch wheels is not an issue.

Cheers,
Simon
