You can see the hole in my cartridge just to the left of the right hand jacking screrw in the photo above

I see it now, many thank's Rohan.

I didn't look that closely at your pictures  I like the idea of jacking points and shall add them to my drawing.

I shall make a cartridge and modify the front cover for the tall block engine I plan to complete over the summer.

What number is a Lotus Seven?: 7
Making the pump is progressing well but I need some data, I seem to have manged to lose the original measurements I made on my front cover before machining the original pump out.
I need to know either how deep the recess in te front cover for the the ring with the two o rings which goes behind the impellor is or how thick the backplate isaround the water pump(I don't have a spare one of these). Can anybody help?

I want to make sure I don't end up with the ring fouling on the block and preventing the front cover seating properly.

Kevin.

Kevin.

The ring is 16.6mm wide and protrudes 10mm when fitted. Therefore, the recess in the cover is 6.6mm deep.

As a matter of interest, why do you want this information? Copying the Burton design?

I plan to copy the Rohan/Bean design. I have established what I think the detail dimensions should be, and will be completing the drawing of the cassette over the next few days.
