Historic Sandown 2017

Well I got my engine build finished just in time. The car ran well but I had a cracked clutch pipe which meant I lost all the clutch fluid and the clutch pedal went to the floor on the last lap of the second un-timed practice on Friday. I discovered the spare clutch pipe had the threads on the fitting cross threaded and damaged so a quick trip home was required to make up another pipe.

I had no time to dyno the engine and with a new inlet cam and lower compression ratio in this engine the carb settings were a little off in the mid range. A trip to the dyno in January before my next race at Phillip Island is in order.
