Lotus Elan

1966 Lotus Elan s3 for sale - one owner

PostPost by: Cccazza » Wed May 16, 2018 8:05 pm

Selling my dad’s car as he’s not able to drive any more :-(. He bought it before I was born and it’s been treasured for all these years.

He has owned it from new. Bought in 1966 it comes with the original sale receipts and even a photo of the engine having been delivered on the pavement, just metres from where it still lives!

MOTs, notes, photos, receipts etc. all show its history.

Mechanically the car is in excellent condition and runs very well, thanks to its Mobil 1. In recent years it was maintained by Morland Jones, until they retired. It has a few sensible mods electric fan, alternator, roll bar etc.

Chassis is Lotus one & in a1 condition.

It was given an MOT in March / April 2018.

The car was last painted in the 1980s and this shows. Some fibre work is needed around the drivers door handle and there are what appear to be gel coat cracks. Its still a great head turner.

I am happy to answer questions. Please supply your name, email, phone and location when responding. Inspections welcomed from serious persons.

The car is located in north London. POA

What a lovely car! If I didn't already have a white S3 I would be tempted. Good luck with your sale.

Very very very few original cars with that kind of history come up for sale these days. I’d say you might have seriously undervalued your Dad’s car. As I was reading the ad I was expecting the price to be in the high 30s or maybe even 40s.

Good luck with the sale!
