I know this is a long way away from everyone, ( unless there're some fellow Kiwis reading this), but interesting none the less.

I just read the advert and wonder what is original :?
New Body + Doors + Spyder Chassis. It needs a "Q" Plate but in NZ i don't think that exists

Bit like "Grandpa's old axe" isn't it !

Nope, we have no numberplate nonsense here.
As we couldn't understand the need to know the age, or origin, of a car by looking at a number plate we didn't bother. When you need a plate you simply get the next one in the sequence, so no "Q" plates.
So, sorry, the neighbours won't know you're doing well enough to get a brand new car !

Likewise, no need to pretend some bizarre bunch of numbers and letters actually spells your name.
Just pay the extra and actually get your name, ( up to 6 letters/numbers, not rude, and available).
Nice little earner for the Govt, and occasionally, ( rarely...), something quite clever.

I've resisted the temptation as I'm not sure I need a rego number that's too memorable.. :)

Ralph.
