Lotus Elan

emptying my shed of S-2 and S-4 parts

PostPost by: GingerClark » Tue Jul 10, 2018 3:45 pm

Hope it's okay to post this in discussions. Can't seem to find the parts for sale page.
I'm emptying my shed of Lotus parts I've had for 25 years. Because of the quantity of items and because I haven't a clue what anything is worth,, I've created a bidding-type website which I just put up. I haven't put everything from my shed on it yet but plan to update it every Thursday.
The site name is gingergarnett.com

Ginger Email sent.

Wow, you’ve put some work into that auction site. I’ve no idea whether you’d be interested or not but there’s a lot of folk on here are pretty peeved at the expense of eBay. I wonder whether in conjunction with Jeff here you could make auctions available to members here. You and this site could make a little out of it. Probably more complex than I know

Wow! Thank you for the positive feedback. I'm one of those ebay-peeved people. I'm not certain if this will work although I can't see a flaw in it except that I'm not certain the link at the top of the pages, that creates an email with my address, is actually getting to me. Has someone on this group sent me a bid through that link? If so, let me know at [email protected] because I haven't gotten it yet and I want to track it down. Thanks!

But I'm so happy you like the concept. I wouldn't mind posting other people's Lotus items now that I've figured out the website, but not until I clean out my shed first. I have a lot more parts but just got tired of taking pictures and figuring out names. I will add more items every Thursday late so if you're searching for a part you might want to check back on the website on Fridays to see if it shows up.

If there's someone from New Jersey with an email address of
[email protected]
who tried to bid, would you please try again? I replied but that email address doesn't work.
Thank you.

The "unknown" item is an Elan Handbrake "tree" including actuating rods.

Payments I take are listed on the bottom of the page. (although I also say I'm up for discussion on it.)
And, Gordon, thank you for the ID.
Your prize is that you get to survive. LOL

Ginger...........

I’ve bid on a couple small things. It occurs to me that I should ask where you are located before I jump in on something large.

Thanks. Brad Moore.

Got it.....Los Angeles......I never was very good at reading the instructions before starting the build.
