Lotus Elan

Stickers

PostPost by: pereirac » Fri Apr 07, 2017 12:50 am

Hi
I just ordered some stickers from this site. They don't appear to do all the Elan stickers but the ones they do (Maserati air horn, Lucas brake servo) seem very reasonably priced...along with 'realistic' postage costs..

Still looking for an original style Negative Earth sticker? I bought one from a Lotus dealer but while it looks correct it's printed on thin vinyl and not metal like the original so does not stick to my boot carpet very well (should have tried Sue M first)!

Might be useful to someone?

Sue Miller's Negative Earth stickers aren't printed on metal either.

Susan Miller's stickers are printed on a "metal foil" as per the originals......if you wanted to be really picky, they are ever so slightly thinner than the original ones but hardly noticeable really. I am not sure if the "thicker" foil is available to print on any more! I think Matty's ones are exactly the same....probably coming from the same supplier
I would guess. They were usually found on the Dynamo, the Controll box & on the carpet just towards the front of where the battery is (on an Elan, anyway....cannot remember where in the boot on a +2).

Hope that is helpful

Adam - I stand corrected. They are foil but not as good as the originals.

I bought mine from Kelsports, looks ok. But thin vinyl so not even metal foil..Not really suited to sticking on carpet :(

Just bought some from Paul Matty. Much better but I remember the original ones being a little bit thicker. Anyway these will do and they were also much cheaper than the other one so a good purchase.. :D
