Vincent Haydon Cars

PostPost by: dellboy13 » Wed Oct 11, 2017 8:04 pm

Hi all
I was wondering if anybody has had any experience or heard of Vincent Haydon Cars. They have some Elans +2 in need of work for sale which looks slightly interesting. I would be grateful for any Private messages with honest feedback so to keep peoples opinions private.

He advertises frequently in the Club Lotus magazine, sometimes as a dealer, sometimes as a `collector`.

I know them. Spoke to them about 6 years ago about sourcing a Europa. Seem genuine and knowledgeable.

Some people seem to have an issue with Vincent buying & selling cars for a profit; I have no issue

I've talked to him about tooling up long obsolete parts... seems a decent guy!

He has bought a couple of my cars that I sell for profit. A pleasure to deal with and seems honest and fair with the transactions (especially since we are on opposite sides of the pond).

I have no issues with him. I am just saying that I know of him and what he does. Good luck to him.

Hi all

Bought a Sprint from Vincent a few years back, fair price and very helpful. He has got many spares and sometimes get rare parts remanufactured.

I would recommend him. :D

Nothing is perfect or 100%.
But we need people like Vincent, Miles Wilkins, Paul Matty, Chris Neils, SJS for Lotus.
For TVR we need Adrian Venn or DG's.
With them when we need a part they have it or can say where we can get it.

I have not dealt with Vincent so I'm still opened, but won't deal anymore with the others on that line...

Fortunately there are other elan parts supplier that are competent and reliable to work with.
