The modern 24 hr race looks pretty crap at the moment; 8 hours in.

Who is going to the Classic next year?

Serge,
As you may already know, Club Lotus France are working with Peter Auto to organise a celebration of Elan 50 years; I have been trying to contact them (CLF) to involve Cheshire Lotus Owners Group too- watch this space.

Have now been in dialogue with Club Lotus France; it looks like planning meetings will be held in early Decembre on both side of la Manche. Continue to watch this space.

btw, camp site (and I use that term laughingly) bookings, via the ACO, open at the end of this month.

Apart from speed camera alerts devices now being illegal, here is another reason to take care when driving in France:

Pete
The repost says , visitors (?) I wonder whether I need to carry one being a resident.
(I think it may be obvious we don't watch French TV!)

This does seem to be causing some confusion on other sites I frequent with some saying that it's only active radar detectors that are banned and others that sat-navs with camera POIs are now outlawed. Many of these contradictory posts are coming from French residents so if they're uncertain what hope have the rest of us got? I have heard that there is a new category of POI becoming available to replace camera locations called Danger Zones !

I suspect the "?1-2" breathalyzer kits will be on offer at ?5.99 in the ferry terminals by the time of my next foray into France in the summer.
