UK government survey to try and save Historic Vehicles from being scrapped found on another site.

I've signed it but I'd like to think that owners would try harder before they chuck an old car away this way.

Hi Mark,

Your point is valid and in the Lotus world this probably is the case most of the time. Unfortunately there are other car makes and models out there that have suffered from this.
I know of a gentleman who bought back a 1950's Riley RM from the original scrappage scheme, it took months of discussion and arguing with the DVLA as they were adamant that it had t be crushed.

Probably best to post this on PistonHeads, then there?s a chance it could reach the 100,000 s8gnatures needed for a parliamentary discussion as they have millions of members.
