Because our fibreglass Elans are transparent to radio waves, I have a suspicion that the speed cameras sometimes measure radio reflections from the TOP of the rear wheels, when wet.

Normal applied maths & engineering will show you that the top of the wheels are travelling forward at TWICE the speed of the car.

Some long time ago, I had a caution derived from a speed camera on Hanger Lane (West London) on a wet day and I'm convinced that I was not exceeded the speed limit.

I think the link in John's first post is more than 10 years out of date and the so called loophole is not true anymore, if it ever was.

I think this method of avoidance might be easier to achieve

HaHa..................Well here in France we have a truly mobile speeding camera man. Well for a short while anyway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyiAPLHUfMw

Interestingly enough the Satnav speed camera warnings in France and Switzerland are actually illegal and have been removed by TomTom from the latest devices

We do now have dangerous road segment announcements (where cameras are by coincidence) and this is legal. That's on my Garmin.

HAHA, it was a good one,

Not sure which side of the Yes/No Scottish independant vote you reside so not wanting to offend.

However couldn't resist sending a Scotsman this one.

Not the appropriate place perhaps to have put the F on the door.

Regards

Steve

Steve (alfa lola),
I'm jealous that you are allowed to vote because you are domiciled (I assume) in Scotland. To me, the crying shame is that this vote is for or against the "Act of Union" but the majority of those in the Union are not included in the voting system.

I would vote against independence if I were able.

Other Steve, (Plus 2),
Very funny video, I like your brand of humour.

Alan
