Tahoe Meet?

Before I moved here to Lake Tahoe I know that there was a West Coast Lotus meet in Tahoe. Does anyone know what happened to that, or who put in on? Was it GGLC? Anyway, I was thinking that maybe on a much smaller scale it would would fun to get a few Elans, and Elan Plus 2's to gather here in Lake Tahoe for a day (or weekend) of driving around the lake, and maybe go to dinner, etc. I know of one S1 in Reno, Dukes RHD S2 in Placerville, Mike in Sacramento, and there must be at least another 5-10 in the area. Maybe others from the Bay area would want to come up as well. I'm a terrible social planner but I could offer to meet at my house before and after we go for a drive. I was thinking maybe an August or early Sept time frame if this were to happen. Like I said I'm a terrible social planner so lets see if this interests anyone and we can throw a few ideas around.

The GGLC did 2 WCLMs in the Tahoe basin. The first was in 2004 in South Tahoe (which I chaired) and the second was in Tahoe City chaired by Joel L. If you'd like more details or contacts that I used feel free to reach me at webguy"at"gglotus.org.
Cheers,

I?d be up for it, if a resto-mod elan would be welcome. I?m working to have the +2 back on the road by the end of July and Tahoe is always a great place to visit. Three and a half hours across northern Nevada in August or September should tell me if I have the cooling system done right!

Bud,
My car is far from being a gem and I love Resto-Mods, so anything that can be driven and has Lotus origins is fine. I just thought it would be fun to have an informal gathering of Elans, but if their is enough interest, maybe an annual or semi-annual event could be in the works, and all Lotus would be welcome.
Everyone,
I wouldn't commit to this year, but in the future there could be an autox or other event at the airport? Maybe a good gathering place would be the Montblue Casino where Hot August Nights, and the annual Corvette show is held? A tour around the lake, paddle wheel cruises in the evening, a poker rally, etc. are all ideas. The Lake has a lot to offer so I'm sure everyone would have a great time.
