Elan Sprint Coupe door weatherseal fitting - wheres the join

Hello people
As ive said before, Ive decided to try to use the original door seal / weather strip. Ive just spent a few hours cleaning it up and straightening the twists of storage and am ready to try fitting.
Can anyone tell me where the join was originally please?

Mine were here and I replaced them in the same position.

I expect the old seals will help you decide - the two tight bends at the front of the door would be my guide points.
Mind you if you've straightened them out it'll be a bit difficult to tell!

The jons o mine were equidistant on the A post
