Front bumper chrome strip

Can anyone tell me which way round the chrome front bumper strip fits as the attachment part of the T section is off centre?

I think I read somewhere that the smaller side goes on the inside of the curve. That would make sense, as it would probably have less tendency to wrinkle or bow upwards than the larger section.

A job that's waiting for me too.....and a daunting one at that
