Interesting... are they painted ? you may also have noticed that the T is a bit further right when compared to known used badges, a little change like the S which would make me bet for an older repro, but at speed they would look the part.

They are enamelled not painted, I noticed that the T was almost touching the U. But the colour is very good, the Yellow is very Primrose as you would expect an early badge to be.
I just have them sitting on my desk at the moment, nice ornaments!

Pretty sure it's a standard Lotus enamel 'flat' badge from 1965 - 1967 ish, the one that replaced the painted badge but preceded the more domed badge on the later S3 / S4 and Plus 2.
A great find, and with studs on the back, worth a few bob!
They weren't all pale yellow, with some of the painted badges being quite a dark yellow. This one came with my Elite, and when I was last with Miles Wilkins I asked him if it looked right. He popped into his stores and came out with an identical badge it it's original wrapper, dating from 1963!

Thanks Mark,
I will bring one to Castle Combe for a proper inspection.

I was looking for a set of yellow/green Lotus stickers for the 40mm hub caps on my Minilites.
I found a set on eBay, but when they arrived I saw they were 56mm, and curved, they are exact replicas of the bonnet badge.
