New to Elans , window rubber

Hi,
I've just bought my first elan having owned other Lotus's in the past such as an early Elise and a Twincam Seven.
It is a pretty complete original S2 DHC that needs some putting back together. I'm getting the feeling from reading around that some of the parts are difficult to get.
So far I've found that I need :
- a windscreen rubber
- a sidelight
- toggles for the window stops
- a side window handle.
I was wondering where the best place to start sourcing these parts is?
Are there specific parts places for Elan trim?
Is there a good network of secondhand trading going on?
Thanks
Simon

Welcome Simon
main sources for parts are Susan Millar, Paul Matty, SJ Sportscars, Kelvdon motors, Tony Thompson Racing and a host of other suppliers and people that refurbish or repair. They all have web sites. This is the best forum for advice and information

Welcome Simon,
you are on the right forum, as stated, there are several places.
But maybe you should state (and include in your profile) your location ... there are US and UK based suppliers.
Regards
Guillermo

Find out where lotus originally sourced the parts, many were from other manufacturers, 2 good books are by Brian Buckland (The Rebuilding of a Lotus Elan) and Robinshaw and Ross ( The original Lotus Elan). Both are available ?50 and ?22, but have saved me a fortune, join a club parts have come my way via that route.
IF EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE GOING WELL, YOU HAVE OBVIOUSLY OVERLOOKED
SOMETHING.
SOMETHING.

Welcome Simon
The windscreen rubber for the S2 is available from all the usual suppliers it comes in 2 parts the rubber and the chrome strip it's also the least expensive compared with the S3, S4 and +2, It's worth getting the books as already mentioned above.
Cheers
