You seem to have the same motoring interests as me, +2 and sunbeam alpine/tiger ,after owning various alpines in the 70s I restored a Harrington lemans, spent a fortune on it (like you do) I was really pleased with the end result, I got offered a s1 esprit in straight swop, having owned a +2 in the late 70s It was a no brainer,I snatched his hand off, that exchange started me off in the lotus route again, 20+ lotus later I'm back to a +2,still would like sunbeam as a stable mate, sorry about the hijack Rich but I think I may have sold you that bumper if you purchased it from a guy in Dartford.
Regards phil

My dad had a small fleet of mostly shabby Alpines when I was growing up. I loved those cars but except for pulling one a car-length forward into the garage, I never got to drive them. Dad got rid of them just as I came to driving-age. He had all sorts of bits saved to restore a '67 as a retirement project, then moved to another city and sold the whole kit & caboodle while I was overseas with the army. He never even asked me if I wanted first right of refusal, as his faithful gearhead son who was there in the garage with him from infancy. It's the only thing for which I'll never forgive him, LOL.

If I could take on another 'recreational' car, an Alpine would definitely be on the short-list of what to get.
