Seats.

I mentioned my change to X1/9 seats, as an aside, in another post, and had a request for a pics so here they are. 99p the pair on ebay, already recovered in a period jumbo cord! I'm sure Lotus would have fitted these even at twice the price! Interesting to compare the construction from a major manufacturer in a similar era. A pressed steel pan for the seat and one for the back, hinged and clipped at centre back. Some moulded foam, a cover and bob's your uncle!
No doubt lots of other replacement seats out there. Let's see them!

Salut Dougal
Thanks for the photos - a full-frontal would be nice
They look like the X1/9 1300 seats I bought - more than 99p and need re-covering
Did you use the Lotus seat runners ?

No good for my old back...
Honda Civic S ?
Nice looking half-leather ( but high )
Toyota MR2 Mk2
By far the lightest, most adjustable, most comfy.

Jaguar XJS are nice, they are the right height and tilt forward without hitting the roof lining. Being a quality British marque they are mostly available in good quality leather in a variety of colours. Electric operation is a possibility as well. Here's the current offerings on Ebay
