Hi Paddy. Just realised that your car probably has the doors and trim that my chum is looking for....without the ashtrays and with the front pockets. If so, do you have any handy photos of the door / trim you could post?
Many thanks! Mark.

Hi Mark,
Sadly I don't have pockets in the doors - but the door trims also aren't original. I will post a picture when I can get one in the daylight. It's possible that the door trims are simply the original ones recovered, or they might be replacements.
What I have is essentially the same as in this picture http://www.type26register.com/images/DF_1.jpg, except for the ashtray and the patterned vinyl.

Thanks Paddy. If it's not too much trouble I'd love to see your door trims to see if they are similar in any way to my friend's car! I'm sure that these trim areas probably varied considerably in the first few months whilst they settled on a 'standard' !

Hi Paddy and Mark,
yes, the door photo on the type 26 register's site is the standard set up for cars with the door ashtrays, identical to my 26/0206 Bourne registered in October 63, what I really need to see is a photo of the very early interior with the console ashtray only....i would imagine the door armrests still have the ribbed section, the brochure shows the door interior but that detail is not clear!

Hi,
Some pictures attached. As I said, I don't know how original they are. The most likely thing is that they are just recovered (which is what the previous owner did with the dash and crashpad) but it's possible it's all been replaced.

Thanks for putting those photos up Paddy. Eventually, with enough photos of early car bits and pieces, we may at least get a definition of probability!

Hi Mark,
If there's anything specific you want me to photograph then let me know.

Yes, thanks Paddy, for the photos, that shows the centre ashtray clearly!

Hi Mark,
you mention the "door pockets"?
Where exactly were they located on the doors and were they made from the vinyl door covering material?
