1967 S3 S/E Coupe. This was an airflow type painted in Sprint colours yellow over white. Registration during my ownership was 111 ERY. DVLA gave it an Anglesey registration (where I was living at the time) GEY ---E when I sold the car and I sold the registration. I have no record of the unit number.
It had a refurbished Spyder frame.
I owned it between 1982 - 84 and sold it to a sportscar dealer in Kent.
It had a crash repair by a PO with a grafted on S4 nose section
Malcolm.

" and sold it to a sportscar dealer in Kent."
No doubt Kent Sports Cars, now known as UK Sportscars http://www.uksportscars.com/, still active with Mr Clugston representing a lot of nice Lotii. Sold my wrecked +2 130/5 to him in the late 80's.

Possibly bought by Henry Pearmain, who subsequently went on to be better known as Eagle Racing, E Type Jaguar specialists?

Apologies for the spelling mistake, surname PEARMAN - some confusion on my part with the local Opel dealer in the 1970/80's.
I wonder if the Elan departed your ownership you on the back of trailer being towed by a Reliant Scimitar?
Regards.

I looked at the Eagle Web site and certainly some nice cars. I almost bought a S1 E type coupe when I got my Elan 40 years ago but it was about $1000 more expensive. In the last 40 years my Elan has gone up about 10 times it price back then ( much less than inflation) while the E Type has gone up about 40 times in price (about twice inflation so still not a good investment return). I suspect however that over 40 years the difference has been made up for in cheaper maintenance and much much more fun
cheers
