This is a long shot, I know. I have been asked to track down any information, photos or knowledge about a couple of Elans that were owned by 1936 Olympic car rally gold medallist Betty Haig. More info on this remarkable lady and some of her cars here: http://www.motorsportmagazine.com/archi ... betty-haig
Her first Elan was probably an early 1600. It carried the Portsmouth issued number plate 2 KBP. There is no record of the registration held by DVLA.
Her second Elan was a FHC SE S4. It carried the Gloucester issued number TDG 511H. Again, DVLA have no record of the registration.
That is the only information I have to hand for both cars, so anyone with any more, please do get in touch. Thanks.

I now know that the first car was from 1964 and Unit No 3627 and that the second car was from 1970 with Unit No 0008E
The early Elan was apparently, one of Betty's favourite cars. She kept it for two years.
Has anyone ever come across either of those two units, by any chance?
