Early gear knob - the real thing?

This one looks just like the gear knob on my early S1 - does anyone have thoughts on whether these images are of 'the real thing'?

Early gear knobs did have a concave top, with the pear-shaped knob coming along in late '63. The badge doesn't look right on the one that you are showing David. The surface of the badge should be flush, where yous looks to have the writing proud of the enamel.
his is an original one....

Thanks for the replies.
Here is a (poor) pic of the one on my 'Aussie' S1, shows what Marks describes so I think the pics I posted are of a repro - the guy is knocking them out at ?350 each on ebay, thought it was strange he happened to have more than one...

Could the photo in the first posting by David be from/for a Cortina? Or were they the same as the Elan, and therefore as suggested by others, the photo is that of a reproduction?
I too recall seeing this listed on ebay over the past year by an ebay seller of 'docspares'. 350 is crazy expensive, especially when not OEM.

Here's mine, which looks very similar to the 'Aussie' S1 item.
I gather that the early Lotus Cortinas had the same one (which is the main reason for the absurdly high prices on Ebay). The first-posted reproduction item is different - the top looks more dished, and the radius on the top edge is too small; and it looks perhaps taller and less bulbous overall.
