Quite a bit more serious than the event I was recently in and they beat a GT40:

A quick scan and I see the 26R at 24:00. Looks amazingly quick, hardly any body roll at all.

These drivers must be very well off - to own the cars in the first place, then to have the balls to fling them round a road circuit where a crash means total loss. Impressive.

The very fast E Type--1196WK I think the plate is--is one of the fastest E Types in racing, it was a winner at the Goodwood Revival not long ago I recall after a very tough fight with a Cobra.

JohnB, yes and the entry fee is 9,800 Euros---it must be nice... The younger crowd seem to have more money than we did!

not sure the crowd is that young... but there is a cost toplay the game, esp. at the front.

In the middle or below, there are a number of people actually renting cars to participate occasionnally (esp. for the regularity option of the Tour).

Well, "Oola Lui" just made me mad! Why not have warning signs?

The "2015 Elan" video got my attention because didn't we discuss this crash recently? Except that Elan came from the opposite direction--was the video 'flopped' in the video we discussed about 3 months ago--it looks like the same car/crash to me. Am I making sense?

Edit: No I am not making sense! This was the crash I was thinking of:
