Files...?

PostPost by: NedK » Mon Apr 09, 2018 1:57 pm

Hi
Trawling through old posts, I see reference to files that have been uploaded. I'm not sure how to find these... could someone please point me in the right direction?
Many thanks

Try the Wiki .....
http://www.lotuselan.net/wiki/Lotus_Elan_Wiki

Depending which device you're using to access this site, the link to the Wiki is in the header bar at the top of the page or else in the Menu dropdown (3 bars top left next to search box)

Many thanks. I did trawl through the wiki but couldn't see what I was looking for.
Ah well, I'll keep looking, and post in the 'mods' area as it concerns a stiffening brace for the +2.

Would that be for the steering wheel?

Yes, that's the one.
I'm at the beginning of the rebuild phase, and as far as I can see, the pedal box, steering column and door hinges seems a bit wobbly. A simple brace might work, as long as it can get behind the dash clear of the heater.
Possibly brace to the side sill members too?

Many thanks, John, that's really helpful!
The wiki should be full of this kind of thing.
I will do a bit of CAD (cardboard-aided design) and see how it feels.
All the best
