S3 fitting a wheel drive peg

FYI and not wishing to tell you how to suck eggs, but some may be interested: Last week I noticed one of my pegs missing on the n/s rear hub. I ordered one on-line from SJ, which is convenient, but it was the plain sort for later S3s and S4/Sprints. Less conveniently I rang Sue Miller, my favourite choice, but the phone remained unanswered so I ordered the "top-hat" type from the equally helpful Paul Matty, at two thirds the price of the plain one, incidentally.
I read up advice on freezing the peg and heating the hub and using my non-existent hydraulic press but used Brian Buckland`s advice and simply used 2 sockets and a G clamp. I didn`t need to remove the hub, just froze the peg and wound up the G clamp. It took some effort, and so it should, but it was straightforward.
