Ahem.... 40 years more or less...

The year of purchase was 1967, not '77. I edited the post to correct the year. Thanks for spotting it.

I love the sound of a torque wrench in the morning. Sounds like... progress.

Had the Sprint since 1976, so 40 odd, ( very ), years.
Had an S4 for a couple of years prior to that so well over 42 years of Elan grief.
Are we Elan owners unusual in keeping our cars for so long ?
I suspect we are and it's because, ( and we have to be to keep them going ), we are inherently bloody minded and will not let yet another problem defeat us.
In fact the only person that comes to mind that did let that happen, in the time I've been on this forum, was Peter Egan....

Have mine S 1? since 34 years.
His health is good. I want to drive him yet for long time, till then father death will stop me.
In 1983 he had 15kg more and I 15kg less. We two have changed....
It's now the same, only the handling is otherwise... Urs

One more month and it will be 48 years, bought second hand from Len Street (who later employed St Wilkins). It spent six years on the streets before acquiring its present garage.
