Kendrick Motors Llangollen

PostPost by: a d price » Fri May 29, 2015 9:58 am

I have just picked up my Elan from Kenrick Motors after a major service and two months of storage whilst I moved house. I have never had the car running so well and driving home to Anglesey yesterday through the Welsh mountains made me realise there is not a better fun car to drive at any price on a sunny day. Clive and robert(father and son) have done an excellent job on my car and are highly recommended. Clive has his own Sprint which he has had for many years. Llangollen might be too far for most owners but the level of service I have had exceeds some well known Lotus specialists

It's really good to hear such good news about non-specialists, Alun, specially with many of the established guys now coming towards retiring.

It shouldn't be hard to find good folks to work on our cars, but it certainly seems to be. They are (mainly) such simple cars to work on, but most workshops seem to be uninterested at best.

Llangollen isn't too far from the Midlands or Greater Manchester, and for a bigger job, must be worth the trip. It's a stunning part of the world, and I'm still trying to summon the courage to go over the Pontcysyllte aqueduct in a boat!

We`ll be here http://www.three-castles.co.uk/default.aspx?pid=7 from Tuesday and, hopefully, won`t need any mechanical help but Kendrick are only an hour away so well worth remembering. Thanks.

Clive and Robert have always been very helpful with my Caterham over the last 10 years and just recently has helped with my Elan - pressing in rear bearings - on going twin cam rebuild ( measuring up the bores and crank, directing me to a trusted machine shop, getting the worn really tight crank sprocket off and a weld repair to the sump).
I take it your Elan was the smart yellow S4 that's been in there recently?
