Lilliputian S2 Restoration

I found an inexpensive Corgi Elan S2 to restore for my 3 year old grandson Jack.
Like every Elan restoration I began with body off.
Then inspection of all the components.
Followed by paint removal.
Watch this space for next steps.

Well done. You found one with what looks like good door fit. Now don't tick off the purists by painting it a non-stock color!

Now that you are restoring it, it's value will probably be in the $10 to $15 area. Had you left the original patina, the value would have been around $100,000 !!!

Ah but 3 year old Jack, being wise beyond his years, will supply that lost patina in short order. He'll hold on to the car through adulthood and cash in when the providence of these, now even rarer, cars is harder to trace due to the flood of 2069.
