Looking for some history on 457845

My S3 SE DHC lived in Toronto, Canada before he came to me. The former custodian took great care of the Elan and rebuild a couple of items on this nice Lotus. Some spare parts came with the car, including invoices from R.D. The prior owner is a John Barron from Willowdale, Toronto and he had the Lotus until May 2017. I wrote a letter to John, but did nor get any reply. If any of you Candian members knows my Carribean Blue Elan or his former owner, I would appreciate your PM,s.

Thank you, I would really appreciate to get in contact with John. I have bought the S3 from a UK dealer for a considerable sum on the basis of some photos ( whise....maybe not). I was really surprized about the proper vehicle I received.

Phil your Elan was invoiced by the factory very early in January 1969. In fact, Next Wednesday will be it's 50th birthday!

thank you. The Lotus certificate shows 15th., Dec 1967 as first registration. This goes in line with the build dates for S3?s you?ll find in the literature. Where is your data coming from?

Can't help with the prior owner,
My S3 is just six digits before yours at 45/7839
and was purchased from a dealer in Oakville Ontario, just west of Toronto.
I bought it in Canada on 4-Jul-1981 from a 3 rd owner, and it now resides with me in San Diego.
