My S2, unfortunately not complete, engine had to be re stripped as it had been not been started for so long.
still have to source window scissor lifts, inside door handles, door pads and arm rests, hood, boot lock, headlight switch, bonnet pulls and catches etc etc. will be fitting twin cone air filter away from the radiators path, radiators out here don't like anything in the way.
Engine not what was originally fitted, re built from a Lotus Cortina, longer con rods fitted, hopefully give a bit more torque. Seats are not original either Cobra classic with built in headrest.
First question I want to upgrade from the generator to alternator, appreciate any help / changes I need to do.
I hope I can pick a few knowledgeable brains in the months to come.

Welcome! A switch from generator to alternator also means a switch from positive ground to
negative ground. The tachometer is the only worry here. There are many ways to convert
the tach; On my S3, I simply gutted it and replaced the innards with a modern 'off the shelf'
tachometer. A bit tricky getting the needles off and on. There are many threads here on
converting a tach. Good luck.

For the tach modification, go to mossmotors.com, and look in their tech articles. The modification from positive to negative ground can be found there. The modification can be done at home, if you wish.
