Hi Richard,
I am in West Kirby and yes, even when 'on the rivet' ( a phrase i recently picked up from TV coverage of the Tour de France ) I never miss an opportunity to spot an Elan.

Slightly confused by everything since the invention of the wheel.

All this Wirral talk makes me quite nostalgic! We lived in Bebington from 1964 to 1978, my wife was born in Clatterbridge, and I was a member of Wallasey Motor Club for several years. Didn't have Lotus back then, Minis, Cortina GT, and Honda 'S' sports were our cars. Not to forget my Austin Seven Special, of course.
Sorry to deviate off topic, I'll go now.

Roger,
Good job u didn't start talking about Houston, else I'd get the nostalgic head on too.
By the way, what's your opinion of the doge hellcat ( big one)
Cheers

Roger -
I worked at Catterbridge in early 80s and have worked in Wallasey since 1985. I bought my Sorint in 1982 when I worked at Clatterbrige
Brought up on the Wirral so haven't strayed far!
Ken
I will look out for you - a bit tied up for next few weekends but in due course would be great to meet up and have a look at your S2. Might see if I can tempt Mark and any other locals out
for a Wirral lotuselan.net inaugural meeting!

Pity you weren't here for long. Oh, well.
No opinions on Dodges, sorry. Our Elan S3 is fine though, the Europa's having a slow overhaul. The older I get, the slower overhauls become!

@Roger,
Yes Roger wish I could have stayed longer. From Houston went to Australia on the Gorgon project, now just started in Algeria.
@Richard, Good beer in the Thatch, close to us all I think. I'm game, but only got about a week or so left before I leave for another 4 weeks.
cheers
