What control box ?

Hi,

My Lotus S4 (02/68) has a deficient RB 106 Lucas control box.
On the other hand, It seems that the S4 was originally fitted with a RB 340 control box.

For a new control box, what is the best choice: a RB 106, as I found on the car, or a 340, as most of the S4 have under the bonnet ?

Wouldthere be any problem with the connections ?

The RB 340 should give better regulation as it is a 3-bobbin type whereas the RB 106 is only 2-bobbin. The connections are compatible, I believe (though A-A is labelled B on the 340), but the mechanics is not.

I have a NOS Boxed Lucas 340 which I am not going to use if that helps anyone though they are freely available on eBay for less than ?15.
