Dynamator Conversion

I think I will do it this way first - just keep the existing control box and wire it up to see if it all works.

Then rewire and remove the control box at a later date.

Part of the current will then flow through a small portion of the control box, but it will have no significant effect on the function of the alternator.

Strictly speaking you should fit a thicker wire (brown green ?) from your new alternator to the control box and then from there a thicker brown wire to the terminal on the starter solenoid. . That wire is the main feed from all the electrics to and from the battery.

windscreen washer motor and heater connections will also need swapping, I having suffered a winter years ago with the heater fan motor working but sucking instead of blowing through the matrix ! Not something you would consider, or I didnt drrrr
