Thanks Phil,
I detect " You poor fool' yore gonna suffer" in your words!
One of the things that worries me is that I dont recall my window switches having the fixed cross coupling that appears in the photo, were there any alternatives to this, like inclusion in the wiring loom??
regards
bob

Heres another query regarding dash wiring. Below is a picture of my window switch. As can be seen, there are no pre installed cross wiring links. These are the original switches, so would one expect the cross links to be a part of the wiring loom? because I cant see / find any.

The cross linking will be to reduce the number of wires slightly. The opposite diagonals are common - one set is the power in, the other set is the earth. The side terminals are for the "UP" or "DOWN" signals to the motors.

Hello Bob, I think you will have to supply your own cross links.
I would also advise, if not already supplied as such that you change the straight Lucar connectors to flag connectors otherwise it can be difficult to push the dash back far enough.

Thanks chaps. I suspected that I would have to crosslink, but what was there before? And I recon the flag connectors are a good idea.

Mine have no crosslinks. There are four separate flag connectors all connected together so that only one wire has to go to earth.
