Used the Elan last night for one of its last trips before I get to work on the winter fix list but noticed after a mile or so that there was a problem with some of the lights. Specifically, the headlights, indicators, interior lights and brake lights were ok but the rear lights, the instrument lights and the front sidelights were not working - basically everything that comes on with the first click of the light switch. I got back by keeping the brake lights on. Any suggestions on where should I start looking (when it warms up a bit later on).

Yes, had exactly the same issue on my S4 when I first got it. It was the rocker switch at fault, just wasn't making contact on the first position. A good squirt of contact cleaner through the front & working the switch through it's full movement a few times did the trick. It was supposed to be a temp repair until I had time to pull the dash to remove the switch & dismantle to clean properly, but it's still working fine after all this time.
