Hazard warning switch??

PostPost by: djb222 » Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:15 pm

I removed the Bonnet release lever bracket this afternoon and found a switch attached to the bracket with pop rivets.
I checked the wiring colours 2x Green and 1x Light Green but nothing on the wiring diagram that matches.
There are 2 warning lights on the dash one is the H/brake warning but the other I'm not sure of. The wiring to it looks like light Green/Blue & Black, which doesn't match anything on the diagram.
I know a Hazard warning switch & dash light was an option as was a Brake Fail light. I could not find a hazard unit under the dash.
Any Ideas.....The switch looks original as does the wiring to it.

Yes it is the hazard switch. It is shown on the S4 wiring diagram in my workshop manual and the wiring colours correspond to what you have. The hazard warning lamp wiring is shown as light green/yellow and black so your lamp may be for something else.
