SOVY?? - unidentified Electrical component

Ok folks, heres another little query...whats the component i have circled in the circuit diagram. It appears to connect to a brake failure warning light, which, i am sure, my car never had! Am I missing something? :?

It's a brake fluid level sensor in an extension can on top of the brake master cylinder - see http://www.lotuselan.net/forums/lotus-electrical-f38/what-this-wire-for-t32957.html fitted to Federal cars...
