Diff Torque Rod torque settings

Having just fitted new rubbers and all the cup washers on the diff torque rods I fin d that to get the correct torque setting of 22 - 27 lbs/ft for the nyloc nuts they end up at the end of the threaded part of the rod. The rubbers looked to be compressed enough to support the diff from rocking. Is this normal or should the rubbers be not too compressed?

Hi

I have just been under the car the check diff clearance for another post and noticed that I have a few threads showing on mine but it depends on the dimensions of the rubbers I have seen some differences over the years
I suggest you run it then check again later

Just noticed do you mean you have ran out of thread and locked up, again different rubbers
