Gearbox mount spacers

Can anyone give me the size of the spacers to mount to chassis as all I have is container with various size spacers and I dont know which is which ?

Assuming a 4 speed box - the spacers are 1.125" O/D x 0.4375" thick.

If it's a Lotus 5 speed box you don't need spacers.

I presume you mean the spacers that go between the gearbox mount and removable cross member. If so Brian is correct. There are no spacers between the chassis and the crossmember.

...by coincidence I will be fitting my engine and 4 speed into a refurbished Spyder chassis this evening.

Where do these spacers go as they are something I had not realised were required (bough the car in bits!) :shock:

Are they perhaps not required on a Spyder chassis?

Jon,

Do you have the Spyder bracket or the Lotus bracket?

The Lotus bracket needs spacers to raise the gearbox to the correct height.
The Spyder bracket is taller and is the correct height.
