S4 New Front Shock Absorbers

PostPost by: daleb » Fri Aug 17, 2018 3:52 pm

I'm looking to rebuild the front suspension on my S4 over winter and am looking for recommendations for new shocks. It's a standard road car and I want to try and maintain an original ride (rather than uprate for track days etc)
What have you guys used?
Many thanks
Dale.

Your not too far from Miles Wilkins so maybe give him a visit.
I think he's still selling spares

How about a pair of adjustable Tony Thompson shock absorber/spring units (comfort rating)? Available from Sue Miller and TT (https://www.tonythompsonracing.co.uk/pa ... suspension).

They seem very nice to me. The adjustable perches allow you to get the ride height correct. And you don't have to mess with a spring compressor.....

Thanks for the replies Alan & Mark, I'll look into both options.
I saw the TTR units on line yesterday but having not used any of their products before I wasn't sure.

You could also check with Dampertech . They supplied the Gaz shocks for my Elan and I believe they are what TT uses . GP6 2131 and GAI 1063 are the part numbers.
