Has anyone high quality scans of the original Elan ads ? Please PM me.
Thanks

Do you mean original artwork scans or magazine scans ?

I can't help with the former but do have 600dpi scans from period mags. Obviously photographs don't do well as it's not much better than newsprint but line drawings and dealer lists generally come out ok.

You refer to Lotus Workshop Manual or Brian's Book errors ?

Lotus Workshop Manual errors - they get posted here from time to time, but it would be nice to have them consolidated in Brian's excellent workshop manual companion.

It would also be great to have a + 2 supplement but I know Brian is really a 2 seater man.

Guillermo, regarding the original ads you should talk to William Taylor at Coterie Press. He co-published a book with Kyle Kaulback and Jon Dahlstrom about all the original Lotus ads that Dahlstrom created. It was released at LOG36 in Princeton, NJ.

I just framed up a dozen of those ads yesterday for hanging in the shop. Still have several that feature the Elite that should be framed as well. Will have to look up the book, as it would be a great partner to the original ads.

I too would enjoy a copy of the book. Seems Coterie Press? website is not working. Anyone know how to reach them to order the book? Or possibly another vendor? Thank you.

You can reach Willaim Taylor (the publisher) at CoterieLtd at aol dot com. Strange that his website is down. William creates extremely well done automotive books that are a work of art. I think I own everything on Lotus he has ever published.

I ordered one last night from hobbydb.com. There was one also offered in England. Found them through Google.

Jo Taylor from Coterie confirmed their website is down. While they find a solution to be back on www, their books can be purchased via the following link:

https://squareup.com/store/coterie-press/

The Lotus books are part way down the landing page.

I tried to contact Coterlie Ltd, but I got no answer at all.
Apart from asking about Lotus adverts I wanted to buy two or three books, but got no reply ..

In the mean time got some adverts - Thank you Brian ! - at least some progress here.

Also looking at Amazon, about using their "Print on Demand" service. I tested it with the "reconstructed" 1st edition and asked for proof books, one sent to Bucklands home (through Amazon UK) and one for me (through the continental Amazon, supposedly Germany ?).
Got two emails that the book has too many pages for POD, two hours later came email "The order is being processed". Then a call from Amazon US, "we cannot produce your book".
Next day: "The order is shipped".
Nice to see such giants also produce some contradictions...

I bought the book directly from Brian a couple of years ago, I?d be very interested in purchasing the amendments to keep my book current.
Please let me know if this is available?

Regards,
Mark

Small update, sad news:
I and Brian received the proof copies. They are nicely done. But Amazon won't print the 1.5 edition again.
I requested a clarification for the bizarre "We can't print that, Sir" against four delivered, perfect proof copies.

"I checked the document and found that you selected the 8.5" x 11" format and that the book contains 640 pages. I have found that for this format, the maximum number of pages we can print is 500. The book can therefore unfortunately not be published."

And it looked beautiful ....
img_20180406_200908_540.jpg and

And so subsequently the 2nd edition can't be printed by them either as it will have a few pages more.
Back to start, now with Ingram Spark. Their requirements are a bit harder, but no problem either.
Currently I am uploading the adapted pdf (1.5 GB !). Will continue to post updates as they occur.
