Ian, yes was me. Very 70's all the way, except for the beer prices.
Your car looked bright and fresh as a daisy.
Had a great time, hotel was a bit far, but good roads made up for it. As always, the trip was eventful - big John discovered he had brought his wife's passport when we were on the ferry from Portsmouth..... The French officials had a good laugh at passport control and sent us on our way!
I couldn't believe the Porsche enclosure - barbed wire next time?
Here's a couple of piccies. They have been down-sampled to fit on the site - if you want a copy contact me.

Hi,
I went to the LeMans Classic but ashamed to say I saw nobody - so engrossed with the racing - it was great. Nice to see that the Elans came
1st 6th and 9th in grid 4. congrats to (1st) Jean-Marc, (6th) Jean-Pierre\MEY Jean-Jacgues and (9th) Nicolet Frederic \ Duchene Thomas \ Favre Jean Francois - hope that is all correct!
I watched most of the event at Arnarge, there was a red Elan in the car park but never found out who - anyway great stuff
Regards
Steve
Sorry missed out that the Gutzwiller Stephane Elan came 10th

Just got back from France and Classic Le Mans today. I spent the rest of the week at a gite enjoying the sun and empty roads.
I was parked up at Arnage for a while with my red S4 dhc.
I was a great event and a must for your diary in 2008.
