drive to Paul matty

PostPost by: davie489 » Sat Apr 22, 2017 4:29 pm

Hi
Having recently purchased my elan +2 which is my first introduction to classic car ownership... I have to say I love the thing but when things go wrong It drives me mad. I have found that locally I can't find a mechanic or a place I'd feel comfortable taking the elan so booked in to Paul matty.
I took the car up there this morning and met the lads. They were fantastic and the place was fantastic too! Looking forward to going back up, having another look round and talking to the lads again. Highly recommended !
Back in love with the lotus!!

I always find a reason to call in if I'm in the W Midlands (there's always some part I must need !) There's always a good range of nice road and race cars and all the guys there are genuine enthusiasts and very knowledgeable. Always a good reminder of why we love Lotuses..

The work they did on my car was average at best and I wouldn't use them again. But in fairness to them they did meet the costs for another independent Lotus specialist to put the car right. Others seem to rate them and they have been around a long time. Win some, lose some.

I always look forward to a visit to Paul Matty's, the place has a more welcoming, traditional feel to it than some other places I've visited over the years.
Their advice and knowledge is much appreciated and they are a friendly bunch too!
(and my visits give me the chance to gaze at other Lotus cars which are either for sale or awaiting servicing - and invariably I treat myself to something from their stores!)
