A friend in Guildford is looking for a local mechanic who is familiar with Elans - Ideally someone who's mobile. Any suggestions. Otherwise I assume its Bell & Colvill.....?

Bell & Colville did some of the work on my Elan back in the 70's, but in more recent years I have heard that they don't work on Classic Lotus cars anymore, but you could at least ask.

Back on Track (Guildford) have a second to none reputation for Elises/Exiges/VX220s. I'm unsure how much work Jez does on classics, you could ask. He is an excellent mechanic and at the end of the day it's a basic fibreglass car.
I took my Exige to Steff at Analogue Automotive in Petersfield as it's more convenient, and the same applies, excellent with the newer stuff, I'd imagine more than capable with the older stuff.
