Yes Sandy, and the consequences are hard for me. I never say it to my wife:
9000km with little troubles, but a few parts:

A sunday-drive with my wife gives a fuel-consumtion from 5,2 to 6.5 liter at 100km.
I alone on non straight streets from 8 to 14 liter at 100km!

OMG What have you done with your Elan - where are all the carefully designed oil leaks intended to stop chassis corrosion and collect any dust before it is spayed up by your passage and annoys the locals? You can only drive a car like that in summer in dry weather immediately after the local Swiss country road street sweeper has gone by to make sure the road is spic and span in accordance with Swiss regulation

The Motor has 1593 ccm. He runs very well. It's not only a warm wind which cross my cylinderhead.
The Spax are good. The wheel load and absorption is good to adjust. Urs
